Our guide will welcome you upon arrival at the Tangier port or airport. We’ll then begin our journey to Chefchaouen, a charming town in the heart of the Rif Mountains. Known for its white-and-blue-painted buildings, Chefchaouen is nestled in a natural park and offers a tranquil atmosphere with beautiful scenery and local crafts. You’ll have dinner and spend the night in a Riad in this peaceful town.
Today, we’ll depart from Chefchaouen and head towards Fez, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. On the way, we’ll stop at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll also pass by the sacred town of Moulay Idriss, where we’ll pause for a panoramic view and lunch. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Fez, where you can enjoy sunset views over the medina walls or relax with tea on your Riad’s terrace. Dinner and overnight stay at the Riad.
After breakfast, we’ll explore the medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its winding streets and vibrant craft markets. Later, we’ll journey through the Middle Atlas mountains, stopping in Ifrane, also known as “Morocco’s Switzerland” for its European-style architecture. We’ll then visit the cedar forest to see the local monkeys before continuing to Midelt, where we’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Our journey today takes us through the dramatic landscapes of the High Atlas mountains and into Morocco’s vast southern desert. As we approach Merzouga, we’ll see the golden sand dunes of the Sahara. Upon arrival, we’ll switch to camels for a scenic sunset trek across the dunes to our desert camp. After dinner, enjoy traditional music, dancing, and stargazing around a cozy campfire.
After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to the desert and visit Rissani, where we’ll explore its vibrant market (held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays) to see local vendors selling everything from fresh produce to clothing. Next, we’ll head to the Todra Gorges, a stunning canyon with towering cliffs, perfect for a short hike and photos. After lunch, we’ll continue to the Dades Valley, where we’ll have dinner and stay overnight.
This morning, we’ll admire views of the Dades Valley and continue through the Valley of Roses, known for its lush rose gardens and fragrant rosewater products. We’ll pass Skoura’s palm groves and arrive in Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco” for its film studios. Here, you’ll visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where many movies have been filmed. After lunch, we’ll travel across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi Ntichka pass, arriving in Marrakech by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in a Riad.

The camel ride is a highlight of the tour and is generally manageable for most people. However, if you have back issues or mobility concerns, let us know in advance, and we can arrange alternative transportation to the desert camp. Camel rides usually last around 1 hour each way.
