10 Days in Morocco from Fes – Desert Tour to Tangier & Imperial Cities

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Fes Airport, where your driver will meet you and transfer you to your riad. After breakfast, you will meet your local guide to explore Fes, one of the most important imperial cities in Morocco. During this guided walking tour, you will visit the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and enjoy a panoramic view over the Medina. Then enter the old Medina through Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate) and visit famous places like Bouanania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, the tanneries, and Al Quaraouiyine University, known as the oldest university in the world. After breakfast, the route continues south toward the Sahara. First, stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its clean streets and European style houses. Continue to Jemaa El Fna Square, the heart of the city, and see the Koutoubia Mosque from outside. In the afternoon, visit Majorelle Garden and drive through Gueliz, the modern part of Marrakech. After breakfast, leave Marrakech and drive to the coastal city of Essaouira. On the way, you may stop to see argan trees and local cooperatives, and sometimes goats climbing the trees. Once in Essaouira, explore the charming Medina, the fishing port, and the old ramparts with cannons facing the ocean. You can also enjoy fresh seafood or walk along the beach. After breakfast, continue toward Casablanca, an economic center of Morocco. After arrival, visit the famous Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, located by the ocean. After breakfast, drive to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco.
