Our 2 Days trip from Marrakech to Zagora desert, will start at early morning while sun is rising, after breakfast, we will be crossing some of the unique places that Morocco contains; starts from your hotel/riad in Marrakech, crossing the highest mountain pass in North Africa, with an altitude of 2,260m over the sea, giving you the chance to admire the views from above the high Atlas mountains, beautiful landscapes and, tiny Berber villages dotted over as far as the eye can see; To reach our first location for today, the Morocco’s pride and, a striking example of the southern architecture in the heydays: the majestic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou; a place that attracted several universal producers, to let it be a part from their films, such as “Jesus of the Nazareth”, “Gladiator”, the famous TV show “Game of Thrones” etc. Lunch is scheduled at a restaurant in this historical area.
After lunch and an entertaining tour, we will head over to Zagora, passing by the beautiful nature of the Daraa Valley; when arrived at the untouched desert of Zagora, you will switch to camels and, with our guide you will live a memorable experience through the sandy dunes that will put you in the shoes of an ancient traveller under the romantic sunset . Till we reach our well equipped traditional camp, where you will enjoy a traditional local dish, while listening to Berber music show around the camp fire; overnight in a tent under the milky way.
Rise and shine with the uncanny sunrise ever which will warm your skin while you enjoy a traditional breakfast in the middle of the impressive desert of Zagora in the morning. Right after we will ride camel back to the town of Zagora where you will switch back to our truck, with our driver that will drive you back to the red city “Marrakech”; but first you will visit the Gate tithe desert the city of “Ouarzazate”, where you will enjoy a quick tour and lunch in a local restaurant, before continuing to discover the magnificent Kasbah of Taourirt, standing marvellously over centuries with its unique architecture that played the role of the Prison in the famous TV show “Prison break”.
Late in the afternoon, we will draw our way back to the Marrakech via high Atlas mountains, where our 2 days tour from marrakech to zagora desert will end.
